Katherine Heigl has opened up about her childhood in "a the white bubble." The actress also discusses how that realization has affected the parenting style of her adopted children who are multi-racial. In an interview, she said recent interview that, when it comes to the color of her skin there is no difference. But after speaking to her adopted sister in South Korea she realized just the way society views the children. "I asked my sister, Meg, if she had been treated one way while out in public with our parents, and another way when she went out by herself without them. Meg replied, "Oh, sure, I was treated the same way all the times! That made me realize that I had been so naive," Heigl said to parents. Heigl said she got angry and felt that it was crucial to put the anger she felt on her adoptee daughters. Heigl, who has been married to Josh Kelley for 13 years and has a son named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is an Black 8-year old girl that adopted in the year 2012.
